Financial Controller – Manufacturing

Saint-Eustache | Permanent | Full-time | $80,000 to $100,000 based on experience

Are you an experienced Controller who has a strong command of the full accounting cycle and excellent business acumen? Do you enjoy analyzing results and advising management just as much as rolling up your sleeves and getting involved when necessary?

Enseignes iCubic & Barbo is looking for a Financial Controller to join its team and take responsibility for the company’s accounting and financial functions.

A Quebec-based company specializing in the design, manufacturing, and installation of signs and architectural graphics, iCubic has approximately 50 employees. As a growing company, it recently acquired Enseignes Barbo, creating a unique opportunity to participate in the integration and financial structuring of multiple entities.

Above all, we are looking for someone who is strong in accounting, autonomous, hands-on, and has excellent business judgment. Someone who understands that the role of a Controller in a manufacturing SME is not limited to analyzing reports, but also involves understanding what is happening on the ground and stepping in directly when necessary.

We are looking for a true Controller: strong in accounting, comfortable with operations, and capable of turning numbers into business decisions.

YOUR ROLE

Reporting directly to management, you will be responsible for managing and ensuring the proper functioning of the company’s accounting and financial functions.

You will act as a business partner to management while being comfortable with the full accounting cycle and able to get directly involved in matters when the situation requires it.

This is a role for someone who enjoys understanding the numbers, but also understanding the business behind the numbers. You will be called upon to analyze results, identify issues, propose solutions, and contribute to decision-making, while also being ready to roll up your sleeves and participate directly in the work to support the team and move day-to-day priorities forward.

Your main responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire accounting cycle and ensure the quality of financial information;
  • Participate directly in accounting activities when necessary, including closings, reconciliations, analyses, and other operational accounting matters;
  • Manage and support the accounting team;
  • Prepare, analyze, and present financial results to management;
  • Manage monthly and annual closings;
  • Review GST/QST and sales taxes for other provinces as needed;
  • Oversee the payroll and source deductions process;
  • Manage cash flow;
  • Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses;
  • Analyze variances, costs, margins, and profitability;
  • Participate in the financial monitoring of manufacturing operations, projects, inventories, and work in progress;
  • Develop and improve dashboards and performance indicators;
  • Participate in the integration of accounting and financial practices following the acquisition of Enseignes Barbo;
  • Optimize processes, internal controls, and financial tools;
  • Work closely with management as well as the sales, operations, and production teams.

WHY iCUBIC & BARBO?

At Enseignes iCubic & Barbo, you will have the opportunity to play an important and hands-on role in a growing Quebec-based company.

You will work directly with management and have the opportunity to contribute to business decisions and the improvement of the company’s financial processes.

If you enjoy environments where you can have a real impact, work closely with operations, and see the tangible results of your work, this position could be a great fit for you.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Permanent, full-time, daytime position;
  • Competitive compensation ($80,000 to $100,000), based on experience and qualifications;
  • Group insurance;
  • Free on-site parking;
  • Direct collaboration with management;
  • Opportunity for professional growth.

Are you an experienced Controller with strong business acumen who enjoys being equally involved in analysis and action?

We want to meet you.

You are also an autonomous, proactive, and down-to-earth person who is not afraid to get directly involved when an issue needs to be resolved. You are capable of supervising, analyzing, and advising, while also rolling up your sleeves and getting involved when necessary.

If you are the type of person who can analyze financial results with management and, on the same day, work directly with the team on a reconciliation, closing, or accounting issue, you could be the person we are looking for.
