The position offers a tremendous opportunity to participate in the expansion of the Engineering Operations Team working on multiple new development programs. In the position, the candidate will work with cross functional and cross Honeywell site teams to ensure that all internal Engineering and Honeywell Customer development meets delivery milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

Sr Program Engineering Support role in development projects, duties including, but not limited to:

  • Support Project Engineering in coordinating, maintaining and analyze cost, schedule and earned value performance on engineering development projects.
  • Support Project Engineers working with program manager for funding exercises, budget forecasting, analysis for Change Management initiatives etc.
  • Support program budgeting in the estimation and forecasting processes for program re-plans, risk mitigation activities, change requests, as well as other management-driven requests.
  • Performing monthly variance analysis to cost and schedule baseline.
  • Performs program cost-walk and cost analysis for program stakeholders.
  • Identifies root cause, impact analysis and recommends corrective actions, and supports variance analysis.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reporting for internal Honeywell Monthly Project Reviews, as well as internal Honeywell customer reviews using standard templates.

The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP clearance.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Accounting, Business, Finance or related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Project Control or Finance Control
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word)

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in SAP is highly desired.
  • Good communication skills and be able to work well in a team environment.
  • Project creation and management - Project scheduling and financial reporting.
  • Expertise with Earned Value Management principles  
  • Notable analytical skills, and demonstrable skills in applying and using program management tools and financial systems.
  • Experience in working cross-functionally with a larger Organization and multiple sites is highly desired.
  • Driven to product improvement; responsive; has a service mentality; achieves quality results.
  • Promote customer satisfaction with the capability to establish strong business and interpersonal relationships with customers and suppliers including internal Honeywell Aerospace centers of excellence (COE).
  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects, take initiative, and effectively manage priorities.
  • Able to negotiate around conflicting due dates and priorities.
