Job Description: St. Ann’s Senior Citizen Village is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented summer student to assist with administrative tasks, including human resources and accounting support. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment while contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.

Requirements: 

  • Assist with daily administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and maintaining records.
  • Greet and assist visitors, residents, and their families with professionalism and a friendly demeanor.
  • Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job ads, reviewing applications, and scheduling interviews.
  • Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks, including invoicing and processing payments.
  • Help prepare materials and resources for events, including flyers, signage, and participant lists.
  • Assist with the collection and analysis of data related to resident activities, HR processes, and financial records.
  • Work closely with administrative staff, the HR department, and the accounting team to support various projects

Experience

  • Previous experience in an administrative, HR, or accounting role is a plus

Education: 

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program related to Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting, or a similar field.

Competencies

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with accounting software is a plus.

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
