Job Description: Reporting directly to the Clinical Services Manager, Rehabilitation Medicine, the Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for providing diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to adults with speech language disorders who have been referred for services. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

- Saskatchewan Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists
Other Education and Training
- Previous related experience with adult clients and dysphagia an asset
Knowledge and Abilities
- Initiative & judgment to plan implement/modify treatment programs for clients
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Requires concentration and attention for treatment, teaching and report writing
- Requires concentration and attention for resident/patient assessment
- Demonstrates the ability to be resourceful and to adapt to changing conditions
- Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate with community agencies
- Knowledge in strategic planning
- Ability to report client information in accordance with professional standards
- Requires coping skills to work w/clients dealing with stress/psychosocial issues
- Ability to integrate ideas into a team treatment approach
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others as required
- Knowledge in critical thinking processes
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Ability to assist clients dealing with stress, role loss, and other psych issues
