Job Description: Labour Relations (LR) Specialists are responsible for performing various key (portfolio) functions within the Human Resources portfolio by providing advanced knowledge as a strategic partner and subject matter expert in the design, delivery, and implementation of human resource services and strategies to improve operations, achieve goals, and resolve issues. The Specialist provides solutions for LR issues including collective agreements and relevant legislation interpretation, application and administration, LR and conflict resolution advice, strategic LR advice and support for organization change and strategic initiatives, conducting the grievance process, negotiating and documenting grievance settlements, preparing for arbitration and other adjudications, contributing to LR policy development, conducting workplace investigations, preparing for and participating in the conduct of collective bargaining, and providing training on LR matters within the organization.

Experience
- 3-5 years' experience in Human Resources
Education
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in Industrial Relations
Other Education and Training
- Human Resources certificate is acceptable
- Degree in Law is acceptable
- Business Administration diploma is acceptable
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor of Human Resources is acceptable
- Bachelor of Business Administration is acceptable
- Licensed, and in good standing, with regulatory body, if applicable
