Job Description: Under the direction of the Manager and as part of an interdisciplinary team, the Social Worker provides a range of screening, triage, assessment, treatment and case coordination services to a primarily adult community mental health and addiction population. The incumbent provides supervision to students in formal clinical practicums. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

  • Knowledge in various mental health disorders and stability interventions
  • Knowledge of community resources including treatment programs & support agencies

  • Knowledge in various intervention strategies for individuals and groups
  • Knowledge in recovery philosophy
  • Knowledge and practical application of the Mental Health Services Act and Health Information Protection Act and other legislation
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary setting.
