Reporting to the Executive Director, Recruitment and Retention Specialists will:
- Contribute to the development of the Agency’s short and medium-term direction.
- Contribute to the development of the annual plan.
- Identify, develop, implement and evaluate recruitment and retention strategies, policies, programs, practices, and tactics in local, national and international environments.
- Establish and maintain effective external relationships (e.g. communities, employers, regulators, post-secondary institutions) that support collaboration and advance the annual plan and objectives of the Agency.
- Implement recognized best practices in recruitment and retention and use quality improvement principles to evaluate performance and ensure goals and accountabilities are being met.
- Provide specialized and complex information on professional licensure, including required national examinations and assessment pathways, to physicians and health professionals considering Saskatchewan as a place to work/practice.
- Build trusting relationships with students, residents, physicians and health professionals to positively influence their decision on where to work/practice. This includes sourcing and attracting passive candidates and persuading them to work/practice in Saskatchewan.
- Utilize, support and troubleshoot software that hosts the job opportunities and candidate profiles to ensure the agency has the insights needed to recruit successfully and service clients through the recruitment, training, licensure and settlement processes.
Travel Required: Yes
- Extensive local, national and international travel is required.
- Work hours outside of regular office hours, including evenings and weekends, is frequently required.
Human Resources Exemption: No
Education
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources or commerce/business administration.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with diverse and external clients and proven success in health human resource recruitment and settlement.

- Proficient in Microsoft applications
Knowledge and Abilities:
- Demonstrated proficiency Microsoft Word and Outlook and basic skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of physician and health professional licensure or immigration would be considered an asset.
