Job Description

Under the direction of the Manager, the Psychologist - PhD - Senior is responsible for overall coordination of psychological services for clients of the Kinetik Rehabilitation program. The incumbent provides leadership to other psychologists on staff, represents psychology both within and outside the program, and leads program and policy development. The incumbent will also provide clinical services for clients of the rehabilitation program Kinetik Rehabilitation. This will encompass psychological and vocational assessment and treatment services provided within a multidisciplinary team.

Required Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Ph.D. Internship Training from an accredited training program
  • Registration in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists with an Authorized Practice Endorsement (APE) which includes Supervised training in assessment, differential diagnosis and intervention with clients and residents of all ages exhibiting mental health issues, mental disorders, dementia and addiction issues.

Experience
-A minimum of 2 years clinical experience, working with clients who have experienced work or vehicle related injuries -Supervised experience and training in the field of pain management considered an asset
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to function within a computerized environment.
  • Ability to initiate and support change.
  • Ability to perform the functions of the position, after orientation.
  • Ability to provide coverage in clinical areas relevant to the position.
  • Advanced ability to work on interdisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated ability to manage crisis situations in clinical areas relevant to the position.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology and Psychologist practices (e.g. assessment/charting).
  • Demonstrated organizational skills in the workplace and the ability to determine clear priorities.
  • Knowledge of First Nations and Metis History in Saskatchewan along with an understanding of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action.
  • Productive interpersonal, team building and role-modelling skills.
  • Willingness to adapt to new concepts, techniques and best practices in the academic and clinical fields of social work and health care.
