Job Description: The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) is an advanced practice nurse with knowledge & skills gained through additional education and experience specializing in pediatrics. The PNP blends an in-depth knowledge of advanced health assessment & diagnosis, therapeutic management with the legal authority & autonomy to order diagnostic tests, prescribe pharmaceuticals & perform specific procedures in the management & treatment of common acute pediatric illnesses & stable chronic conditions. The PNP practices within a framework of evidence-based practice, health promotion, & disease & injury prevention. The practice involves building partnerships with individuals/families, & communities, including supporting inter-professional collaboration & continuous improvements through evaluative processes/projects. The PNP will be based out of the Pediatric Inpatient Department but will also function in outpatient & community settings.

Experience
- 5 years General Nursing Experience
- Three (3) full-time years recent experience working in a pediatric area
Education
- Master's Degree in Nursing, with Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Designation
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Other Education and Training
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation HCP Certificate (CPR-HCP)
