Job Description: Under the direction of the Manager of Regulatory Affairs, the Core Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for ensuring all work is in alignment with the organizations missions, goals, values and strategic plans to promote high quality, safe client care. This is accomplished by assisting in establishing and maintaining best practice; assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating unit orientation, in-servicing and other educational programming; assessing learning needs; acting as a clinical resource; promoting client and family centered care; participating in committee work as assigned; participating in continuous improvement activities; developing and maintaining client and staff resources. The CNE will function as a member of the interprofessional clinical team to promote effective delivery of client care in SHA

Experience

  • Three (3) years recent experience in nursing education and a broad range of clinical experience (including working in an acute care environment within the last three (3) years)
  • Previous experience in coordinating quality management activities


Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

Licenses

  • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
  • Basic Life Support Instructor Certificate (BLS)
