Job Description: The Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible to ensure consistent application of planning and improvement tools and methodologies throughout their portfolio. The position is expected to maintain strategy and improvement standards as outlined in the Strategic and Quality Framework. The focus of the Educator is to organize and oversee improvement initiatives by taking a lead role in linking with key stakeholders, developing project teams, determining the scope of projects, establishing target dates, monitoring outcomes and providing regular updates. You must effectively work with staff, leaders, physicians to integrate best practices and standards. The position varies in scope and influences the success of system-wide improvement and attainment of organizational goals. The Educator is responsible to facilitate a quality of culture across a large diverse organization and model a rigorous, consistent approach to quality improvement. Must be an advocate for staff and patient safety as well as system sustainability.

Education
- Graduate of an approved Nursing Program. Requires, or is in progress towards, a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a recognized university or comparable degree in education/adult learning. Requires current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS). Requires certification for life support, required by the program.
Experience
- Requires a minimum of three (3) years' experience related to the clinical area within the past five (5) years, and one (1) year previous experience in adult education. Requires experience in: 1) program/resource development related to needs assessment, planning, program design, implementation, and evaluation; 2) teaching adults, facilitation skills, and leading group activities.
Knowledge and Abilities:
Basic computer skills. Articulates theory and knowledge related to client centered care and principles of adult education and the client centered model of care. Ability to develop educational programs/resources from needs assessment to the evaluation of programs.
