Job Description: The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for promoting the Mission, Vision and Values of the Saskatchewan Health Authority. Under the direction of the Manager, the Clinical Coordinator integrates knowledge, skill and research into the development and delivery of quality, client centered care. The incumbent will provide visible, proactive leadership and promote the delivery of client-centered care to the patients and families served by the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. In collaboration with their Manager, the Coordinator is responsible for assessing the needs of the unit, its staff and clients by planning, implementing and evaluating programs that enhance staff ability to provide safe care. The Coordinator will use a consultative approach and research findings to provide support to health care professionals as appropriate.
Education
- Bacccalaureate Degree of Nursing from a recognized University required. Requires current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS). Requires certification for life support, required by the program.
Experience
- Requires a minimum of three (3) years' experience related to the clinical area within the past five (5) years, and one (1) year previous experience in adult education. Requires experience in: 1) program/resource development related to needs assessment, planning, program design, implementation, and evaluation; 2) teaching adults, facilitation skills, and leading group activities.
Knowledge and Abilities:
Basic computer skills. Articulates theory and knowledge related to client centered care and principles of adult education and the client centered model of care. Ability to develop educational programs/resources from needs assessment to the evaluation of programs.
