Job Description: The Building Services Manager is accountable for the operations, maintenance and infrastructure for the facility. The manager develops, implements and enforces policies, procedures and standards to ensure the delivery of services and program support. The incumbent is responsible for the development of staff with a focus on ensuring the appropriate and legislated skill sets are present. The manager is responsible for managing expenditures and providing expert professional assistance to SHA management staff where required, while fostering collaborative working relationships with other Building Services managers, departments, unions, outside agencies and the public. The Manager requires knowledge of industry standards, ensuring consistent adherence to safe practices and compliance with legislated requirements, building codes, SHA's policies and procedures while maintaining contract process integrity and providing timely delivery of projects to manage risks. The manager ensures CSA Standards in healthcare are followed for infection control for construction.

Education
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in engineering
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Journeyperson certificate in a Building Trade or a related field
- Project Management Professional Certification
