Job Description: Reporting to the Manager, the EMTP/ACP Coordinator is an integral member of Saskatchewan Health Authority - Emergency Medical Services (EMS). Responsibilities include continuous quality improvement and coordinating best practices applicable to patient clinical care and safety for EMS in Saskatchewan. The EMTP/ACP Coordinator will be responsible for collaborating on patient care and safety policies and initiatives of various areas such as Critical Incident reviews, Standard of Work and Work Standard development, and quality improvement and assurance audits.
Human Resources Exemption: No
Experience
A minimum of two years’ experience as an Advanced Care Paramedic in a supervisory role (i.e. Field Trainer, Team Leader, etc).
Preferred Instructor Level in the following:
BLS
ITLS
PALS
ACLS
- Must be willing to obtain instructor status in the first 12 months of start date
Education
- Advanced Care Paramedic currently licensed and in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics.
Licenses
- Class 4 Driver’s License and Emergency Vehicle Operations training.
Knowledge and Abilities
- Strong client focused interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the organization’s Work Standards.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and written.
- Ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks and exercise exemplary organizational skills.
- Ability to create and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and credibility when interacting with colleagues, stakeholders, partners and vendors is essential.

- Accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
- Registered/eligible with Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at ACP/EMT-P
