Job Description: Operating in a complex and dynamic healthcare environment, the Scientist will have specific accountabilities which are aligned to that of the portfolio to support the achievement of the portfolio’s functions, responsibilities and accountabilities. This senior position reports directly to the Area Division Lead - Public Health, Laboratory Medicine - Regina. The Clinical Doctoral Scientist - Area Lead for Molecular Genetics serves as a consultant for the Molecular Newborn Screening service, and directs day-to-day operations including administrative and technical oversight for the molecular genetic testing services of the RRPL Molecular Genetics Program.

Experience
- Exp. in Public Health, Complex Lab testing, and/or Molecular Gennetics.
- Minimum two (2) yrs working in an accredited healthcare lab setting
Education
- Medical or Doctoral Degree from an accredited institution.
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Other Education and Training
- ABMGG certification in Clinical Molecular Genetics & Genomics
- Board certification/eligibility CCMG specialization in Mole. Genetics pref.
- Familiarity with Newborn Screening guidelines and recommendations will be an asset.
