Mgr Clinical Practice & Edu

The Manager functions according to the Accountability Statement for Managers. Specific responsibilities include: managing the day-to-day issues related to staffing and service delivery; facilitating the ongoing development of leadership skills in individual educators as well as the development of the educator team(s); participating in the preparation of the annual operational and capital budgets for the Program and monitoring monthly financial statements; promoting an environment which supports excellence, continuous learning, measurement and evaluation; ensuring that front line educators have the facilities, equipment and resources necessary for the day-to-day functions and activities; assisting in the development and coordination of education projects and initiatives across the organization which enhance quality patient care.

1.Ontario registration as a regulated health professional with the associated academic preparation for the discipline (minimally a baccalaureate degree in the discipline).
2.Master’s degree in education or related specialty. 
3.5 years relevant educational experience, preferably in an academic health science centre
4. Demonstrated leadership and management skills
5. Excellent organizational skills
6. Self-directed critical thinking and problem solving skills with the ability to prioritize and respond to new situations as they arise
7. Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication, including presentation skills and modelling positive change
8. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team environment
9. Demonstrated ability to appreciate the confidential nature of issues
10. Evidence of commitment to continuous education through pursuit of post grad studies
