The Manager of Research ICT Infrastructure, Security and Operations is responsible for leading, developing and mentoring a team of IT professionals to deliver secure and efficient technology solutions in support of research operations. This role oversees the implementation of onsite data center and cloud-based services that enables anytime, anywhere access for global users.

The role fosters, delivers and enables a culture of service excellence, innovation and digital transformation in meeting and delivering to the study management requirements of internal stakeholders, national and international regulatory bodies, and large international commercial clinical trial sponsors. 

This position requires a breadth of knowledge and skills in information technology related to service delivery on a managerial, interpersonal, conceptual, strategic and technical level.

The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of technical and service delivery concepts and how they apply to business service delivery needs while adhering to global and industry regulations. The incumbent must be a pragmatic and innovative thinker with exceptional people and technical management abilities. 


Qualifications

1. Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Technology, or Engineering program required
2. Industry recognized certifications in IT operations management or minimum of 10 years of job experience related to the operational management of data centre and cloud computing (Windows/Unix/Networking/Storage) environments in a mid to large sized organization.
3. ITIL V4 Managing Professional certification (Certified)
4. Minimum 7 years of experience leading process improvement and service delivery
5. Minimum 5 years of experience applying ITIL best practices
6. Minimum 3 years of experience working in a regulated industry (ex. Healthcare, clinical research, academic research environment)
7. Strong understanding of Windows/Unix operating systems, networks, cloud service and cybersecurity 
8. Strong stakeholder engagement, communications, and negotiations skills
9. Proven experience in project management and vendor relationship management
10. Ability to lead diverse technical teams and drive high performance service culture
