Job Description

As a member of the Technical Support team, this individual will use their Information Technology and Customer Service skills to provide first and second level technical support to over 3000 hospital staff members.

Technical hardware/software support

  • Provide first and second level support for Information Systems hardware, software, network and operating system requests. Requests that aren’t resolved within the expected OLA/SLA guidelines are escalated to either System Administrators or Application Analysts.

User Administration

  • Account administration
  • File administration
  • Account policies

Miscellaneous

  • Helpdesk database administration and maintenance.
  • Desktop deployment and life-cycle services
  • Technical procedural documentation
  • Configuration and Asset management
  • Incident and Change management
  • Provides Preventive Maintenance procedures on all Peripheral and Desktop equipment
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of the departmental strategic plan
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications
  • Information Technology Degree or Diploma required
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in the Information Systems field including applications, networking , operations and telecommunications
  • Industry standard technical certifications (MCP/A+) preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven business analysis and problem solving skills
  • Proven superior customer service skills
  • Proficient with the Windows suite of operating systems and Microsoft Office product line required
  • Minimum of 1 year computer hardware and peripheral equipment trouble shooting and support skills required
  • Knowledge of LAN environment preferred
  • Proven technical writing/documentation skills preferred
  • Must be able to work flexible hours as needed
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position
  • Satisfactory employment and attendance record required

Additional Information

Hours: Monday - Friday - Days; various rotating shifts (subject to change based on operational requirements)

Salary: $31.409 - $36.205 per hour
