General Job Description
Reporting to the Vice President, Quality Assurance, the incumbent is responsible for the operational management of the Quality Management System (QMS) and quality assurance activities.
The role acts as a key quality reference for operations and ensures the rigorous application of standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulations. The incumbent actively contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and maintains a high level of compliance while supporting teams in achieving quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, engage, and develop the team under their supervision
- Define, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001)
- Oversee and maintain quality documentation
- Promote a quality-driven culture across all levels of the organization
- Oversee the management of non-conformances, deviations, and corrective actions
- Implement prevention and continuous improvement strategies
- Analyze quality system performance and recommend improvement actions
- Lead internal audits
- Act as a quality reference for operational teams and internal stakeholders
- Advise managers on best practices in quality assurance and regulatory compliance
- Develop and monitor quality performance indicators (KPIs) to support decision-making
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, production, and supply chain teams to optimize processes
- Lead internal, customer, and regulatory audits, including associated action plans
- Ensure compliance with established procedures
- Perform any other related duties
Job Requirements Education & Experience
- Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality assurance (aerospace experience is an asset) and 5 to 10 years in a management role
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of quality standards (AS9100, NADCAP, ISO 9001), Canadian Aviation Regulations, Human Factors, WHMIS, SMS, etc.
- Good understanding of manufacturing and special processes
- Strong skills in management, data analysis, and IT tools
- Excellent command of French (spoken and written) and advanced proficiency in English (spoken and written), required to communicate regularly with clients and suppliers outside Quebec

- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to manage stress and work under pressure
- Demonstrates leadership and professionalism
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
