Description
Reporting to the Chief Accountant, the incumbent is responsible for managing accounts payable.
Responsibilities- Validate invoice approvals in accordance with internal accounting policies
- Record invoices in a multi‑division and multi‑currency environment
- Reconcile vendor statements and credit card accounts
- Produce the accounts payable aging report and perform analysis and follow‑up
- Respond to information requests from vendors and buyers
- Resolve complex payables requiring in‑depth analysis
- Perform electronic documentation of accounting information
- Assist in the preparation of month‑end analyses
- Respond to various information requests from management
- Participate in finance team meetings
- Perform any other related tasks
- College diploma (DEC) in Business Administration, Accounting profile
- experience in a manufacturing environment (an asset)
- Computer skills: Office suite, with strong Excel skills
- Knowledge of ERP systems and Epicor software, an asset
- Ability to work in a team and in a constantly changing environment
- Ability to exercise professional judgment and meet deadlines
- Rigour and professionalism in assigned tasks
