Responsibilities

  • Process vendor invoices, ensuring appropriate approvals and coding to general ledger accounts
  • Ensure that invoice is made out to the correct legal entity and respects legal requirements
  • Perform 3-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents
  • Prepare and execute weekly cheque runs and electronic payments
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor files
  • Assist with month-end closing procedures (accruals) and provide reports as needed
  • Communicate with vendors and internal departments to address payment inquiries
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies

Requirements

  • Diploma or college degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2+ years of accounts payable experience, preferably in real estate or property management
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, Space, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
