Description
Geroquip is seeking a results-driven Sales Director to lead our provincial sales team and drive revenue growth across all our channels. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing and executing sales strategies, building strong relationships with suppliers, and managing high-performing sales teams.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to increase market share and achieve ambitious growth targets.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a provincial sales team of 16 salespeople across two (2) branches in all aspects to ensure productivity and professional development.
- Manage key client and supplier relationships and partnerships to maximize product placement and sales, and negotiate agreements.
- Manage the sales-related vehicle fleet in all aspects.
- Analyze market trends, sales data, and competition to identify new business opportunities and refine strategies.
- Oversee all sales operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and the effective use of customer relationship management (CRM) tools to track progress and improve efficiency.
- Lead customer acquisition and retention strategies, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product management, and operations, to align sales efforts with overall business objectives.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to strengthen brand positioning.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is required.
- 5+ years of sales experience in the distribution sector or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Ideally related to the construction domain.
- Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
- Deep understanding of channel management, business-to-business (B2B) sales dynamics, and market analysis.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in job-relevant software, sales analytics, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to travel to support field teams and key accounts.
