POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to Manager, Scheduling, you will be responsible for establishing, monitoring, and analyzing project schedules, including setup of automation tools and P6 systems, for compiling data from different projects/programs and converting them to useful information to enable decision making.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop program/project schedules, including work breakdown structures, key project milestones, and project reporting baselines and interlinking with all interfaces
- Monitor, and analyze established project schedules in accordance to approved project base lines
- Deliver progress and performance reports with analysis as required by the project/contract
- Setup and maintenance of automation tools for compiling data from different areas/projects and share analysis to support decision making by function/PMO/management.
- Provide support as needed for trend reporting, mitigation of delays and threats to the project schedule if any.
- Adhere to corporate scheduling processes and procedures
- Analyze possible schedule issues related to change of management and identify potential claims
REQUIREMENTS:
- Highly skilled with scheduling softwares (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project)
- Hold a university degree or a college diploma in a relevant discipline (engineering, naval architecture) and have a minimum of 15 years of experience in scheduling & project controls.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in shipbuilding/repair scheduling and planning is preferred.
- Experience with various types of projects, such as new construction, repair works and support on establishing automation tools for reporting and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of the interrelationship of project scope definition from estimating to commissioning
- Strong knowledge of Earned Value Measurement in engineering, procurement, fabrication & construction (CPI, SPI, EAC, etc.)
- Know and be able to apply scheduling and progress methodologies and methods as contained in the AACE and PMI (PMBok) standard practice
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate with different departments in a multidisciplinary environment
- Team-oriented
- Successful completion of security clearance process required by the federal government’s Contract Security Program is preferred.
