Our client, a renowned company in the maritime industry located in Lévis, is currently seeking a Specialist, Change Control & Planning Integration to fill a permanent position in the project controls department.


POSITION SUMMARY
The Specialist, Change Control & Planning Integration supports the Project Controls organization by ensuring that approved project changes are accurately and timely integrated into planning, scheduling, and work package systems.

The role acts as the bridge between change governance and planning execution, ensuring that approved changes are translated into executable plans, that planning readiness is achieved prior to release, and that integration risks are identified and escalated early. The incumbent does not own production execution but ensures that planning and scheduling adoption of change is timely, complete, and aligned with the approved scope, cost, and schedule intent.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Change Development & Intake Support

  • Support development of submissions in coordination with PMs and functional teams.
  • Validate completeness and clarity of proposed changes to enable effective impact assessment and planning integration.
  • Support impact assessment activities across planning, scheduling, estimating, and engineering functions.

Planning & Schedule Integration

  • Translate approved scope changes into planning and scheduling systems.
  • Coordinate with Planning (jobcards) to ensure work packages reflect approved scope and sequencing. Preliminary analysis schedule impacts to be done, especially if change is impacting the critical path. Coordinate with PM and obtain an approval that this change can be absorbed in project especially when there is a deadline from Client on overall sail away date
  • Ensure schedules, resource plans, and planning assumptions are aligned with approved changes.
  • Conduct integration readiness reviews prior to plan release.

Integration Monitoring & Control

  • Track adoption of approved changes within planning and scheduling baselines.
  • Identify and escalate integration gaps, conflicts, or delays.
  • Maintain an integration tracking register linking approved changes to planning deliverables.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Act as the primary planning integration focal point for approved changes.
  • Coordinate across Project Controls, Engineering, Production, and Finance.
  • Ensure consistent communication of approved change intent across planning related functions.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Provide regular status reporting on planning integration progress and risks.
  • Support post implementation reviews from a planning integration perspective.
  • Identify opportunities to improve change to plan integration processes and tools.

 


Qualifications:
University degree in engineering, project management, administration, or a related field;
• Five (5) years of experience in engineering or project control;
• Proven experience in project change management or complex project control
• Successful completion of the investigation process and obtaining the required security clearance under the Federal Government Contract Security Program;
