Position Summary

As an IT Technician – GxP Operations Support, you will provide first-line technical support for computerized systems used in regulated environments (pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and related industries).

You will work directly with users and critical systems supporting production, laboratory, and quality operations to ensure system availability, reliability, and compliance. The role includes occasional interventions in controlled environments (clean rooms), requiring strict adherence to established procedures.

This is a full-time onsite position, five days per week, at our client's facility located in Montreal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for GxP systems (connected equipment, applications, and related technologies)
  • Diagnose, document, and resolve technical incidents in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and GxP requirements
  • Occasionally work in controlled environments (clean rooms) to support production equipment and end users
  • Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures
  • Accurately document incidents, service requests, and interventions within ticketing systems
  • Provide real-time support for production and laboratory operations, including troubleshooting and user assistance
  • Participate in basic testing activities and post-deployment verification
  • Assist with system deployments, upgrades, and change control activities
  • Contribute to maintaining system compliance, including audit trails, best practices, and procedural adherence
  • Support audits by providing evidence and documentation related to support activities
Technical Requirements
  • College diploma (DEC) or Attestation of College Studies (AEC) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 1 to 5 years of experience in IT support within a regulated environment
  • Experience providing end-user support (help desk, application support, or field support)
  • Basic knowledge of GxP environments (strong asset)
  • Familiarity with industrial or laboratory systems
  • Understanding of fundamental IT best practices, including:
    • User access management
    • Documentation and traceability
    • Incident and change management
  • Ability to work in environments governed by strict procedures (SOPs)
  • Proficiency in both French and English is required from time to time, as the incumbent will collaborate verbally and in writing with colleagues and clients outside Quebec
