We are looking for a motivated, meticulous, and intellectually curious Tax Specialist who is eager to take on high-value assignments and join a tight-knit, passionate team based on the South Shore of Montreal. You will actively contribute to the firm’s growth and have the opportunity to quickly advance into a Director, Taxation role.

What Will Your Day Look Like?You’ll work closely with our clients, supporting them in tax planning, compliance, and analysis. In return, the team will support your growth with specialized coaching and a custom development plan so you can contribute meaningfully every day. Tax Research & Analysis-
Conduct research and provide tax validation in Canadian taxation within a cross-border context.

Depending on your experience, you may also support U.S. and international tax files.

Draft technical tax memorandums.

Build financial and tax simulations, comparative scenarios, models, etc.

Collaborate on internal planning and the implementation of tailored tax solutions.

Present options and discuss solutions with both the internal team and clients.

Participate in weekly team meetings and ongoing training to stay on top of tax developments and sharpen your skills.

Update and document source files and supporting documents to prepare tax returns.

Review and ensure quality control of tax returns prepared by the technical team.

Occasionally assist with complex tax returns and specific compliance issues (e.g., pledges, voluntary disclosures, objections).

Full tax function outsourcing by our clients, including all interactions with tax authorities regarding queries, disputes, or litigation.

Develop and maintain trusted relationships with clients through diagnostics and ongoing support.

Represent the firm externally through article writing, speaking engagements, or teaching opportunities, if desired.

Collaborate closely with the group’s strategic partners and colleagues in complementary areas (audit, transactions, legal, accounting, brokerage, financial planning).

Provide training and technical support to interns and junior tax professionals.
Education:
-
Master’s degree in Taxation.

Background in business or law.
Professional Experience:
-
Minimum 3 years of tax practice.

Broad Canadian tax expertise.
-
Experience in U.S. or international taxation is an asset.
Skills:

Proficiency in tax compliance and research software (e.g., iFirm, ProSystem fx).

Bilingual in French and English, both written and spoken.

Additional languages are an asset for our international clientele.
