Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION

FOP CONSULTANTS is looking for specialists in technical support at the senior level motivated to deliver on mandates for its clients in the medical device sector. The mandate is to support medical device customers and users through diagnostics, installation, maintenance and repair and to record complaints, contribute to materiovigilance and train users in safe use. The senior scope is further to define support processes and expected service levels and to mentor technicians and intermediate consultants.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide technical support to device customers, clinicians and users.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues on site or remotely.
Perform device installation, maintenance, calibration and repairs.
Record complaints and contribute to materiovigilance.
Train users in the safe use of devices.
Document interventions in service management systems.
Relay field feedback to quality and R&D.
Define support processes and expected service levels.
Mentor technicians and intermediate consultants.
Analyze failure trends and propose product corrective actions.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (biomedical; biomechanics, mechanics, physics) or any other related discipline.
Minimum ten (10) years of industry experience.
Eight (08) to fifteen (15) years of experience as a Specialist in Technical Support.
Sector standards: ISO 13485, ISO 14971, FDA 21 CFR 820, EU MDR 2017/745, MDSAP.
Tools and systems: MS Office suite, ServiceNow, Salesforce Service Cloud, SAP.
Hold one of the following certifications: ITIL 4 Foundation, medical device training.
The following are considered assets: ASQ CQA, PMP, vendor certification.
Experience in Canadian public or private organizations.
Language: French and English
