Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION

FOP CONSULTANTS is looking for specialists in formulation at the intermediate level motivated to deliver on mandates for its clients in the cosmetics sector. The mandate is to develop and improve cosmetic formulations by selecting compliant ingredients and to conduct stability and efficacy testing, support transfer to production and document formulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop new cosmetic formulations and improve existing products.
Select ingredients and assess their regulatory compliance (Health Canada Cosmetic Ingredient Hotlist, INCI).
Conduct stability, compatibility and efficacy testing.
Coordinate safety and skin tolerance testing.
Support scale-up and transfer to production.
Draft formulation records, specifications and technical documentation.
Collaborate with marketing, regulatory affairs and suppliers.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Bachelor's or master's degree in science (chemistry, biochemistry, biology, pharmaceutical, pharmacovigilance, etc.), cosmetology or any other related discipline.
Five (05) to ten (10) years of industry experience.
Three (03) to seven (07) years of experience as a Specialist in Formulation.
Sector standards: ISO 22716, Cosmetic Regulations (Health Canada), FDA MoCRA, ISO 9001.
Tools and systems: MS Office suite, LIMS, Minitab, JMP, INCI databases.
Hold one of the following certifications: ISO 22716, Design of Experiments (DOE), cosmetic science training.
The following are considered assets: RAC (RAPS), Six Sigma Green Belt, SCC certification.
Experience in Canadian public or private organizations.
Language: French and English
