Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION

FOP CONSULTANTS is looking for Process Engineers at the intermediate level motivated to deliver on mandates for its clients in the agri-food sector. The mandate is to design and optimize food processing operations to improve yield, quality and food safety and to integrate hygienic design, support the HACCP plan and ensure compliance with the SFCR.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and optimize food processing operations.
Improve product yield, quality and safety.
Carry out technical studies and material and energy balances.
Integrate hygienic design principles for equipment and production lines.
Support HACCP plans and prerequisite programs.
Investigate process deviations and implement corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with the Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR).

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (mechanical, chemical, food, process), or any other related discipline.
Five (05) to ten (10) years of industry experience.
Three (03) to seven (07) years of experience as a Process Engineer.
Sector standards: HACCP, SFCR (CFIA), SQF, BRCGS, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000.
Tools and systems: MS Office suite, AutoCAD, Aspen Plus, SAP, MS Project.
Hold one of the following certifications: Six Sigma Green Belt.
The following are considered assets: membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), PMP, Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean Manufacturing.
Experience in Canadian public or private organizations.
Language: French and English
