FOP CONSULTANTS is looking for Database Administrators motivated to deliver on mandates. The main assignments would be to administer, secure and optimize the organization's databases, ensure data availability, performance and integrity, manage backups and recovery plans, automate operational tasks and support development teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Install, configure and maintain database instances and their environments.
- Ensure the availability, performance and optimization of queries and indexes.
- Manage backups, restores, high availability and recovery plans.
- Apply security controls, access rights, encryption and patches.
- Monitor databases, handle incidents and apply corrective measures.
- Automate operational tasks and the deployment of scripts and schemas.
- Document configurations and support development and analytics teams.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- University degree in computer science, management or any related discipline.
- Five (05) to ten (10) years of experience in information technology.
- Three (03) to seven (07) years of experience as a Database Administrator.
- Experience with one of the following frameworks: Scrum, Kanban, Lean, DSDM, SAFe, Nexus.
- Hold one of the following certifications: Oracle DBA Certified Associate, DP-300, DP-900.
- Hold one of the following certifications (an asset): Oracle DBA Certified Professional, AWS Certified Database – Specialty (DBS-C01).
- Experience with one of the following tools: SQL Server, Oracle, Azure SQL, Azure DevOps.
- Experience in Canadian public or private organizations.
- Language: French and English
