Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION

FOP CONSULTANTS is looking for Business Development Managers at the intermediate level motivated to deliver on mandates for its clients in the agri-food sector. The mandate is to develop business in the agri-food sector by identifying opportunities, preparing proposals and negotiating contracts and to track the pipeline and maintain client relationships and partnerships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Define the growth strategy for the agri-food sector.
Identify and qualify opportunities with processors and distributors.
Prepare service offerings and business proposals.
Negotiate agreements and close contracts.
Track the sales pipeline and forecasts in the CRM.
Represent the company at industry events and trade shows.
Maintain client relationships and partnerships.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration (BA, MBA), Commerce or Marketing.
Five (05) to ten (10) years of industry experience.
Three (03) to seven (07) years of experience as a Business Development Manager.
Sector standards: HACCP, SFCR (CFIA), SQF, BRCGS, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000.
Tools and systems: MS Office suite, CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce), LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Power BI.
Hold one of the following certifications: Consultative selling certification, Google Analytics, HubSpot.
The following are considered assets: MBA, PMP, digital marketing certification.
Experience in Canadian public or private organizations.
Language: French and English
