FOP CONSULTANTS is looking for Automation Engineers at the senior level motivated to deliver on mandates for its clients in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical sector. The mandate is to design and maintain automated production systems (PLC, SCADA, MES), to draft specifications, execute testing and support qualification in accordance with GAMP 5 and to ensure data integrity and compliance with 21 CFR Part 11. The senior scope is further to define the automation architecture and site standards and to mentor intermediate consultants and review their deliverables
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Design, program and commission control systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS, MES).
- Draft functional and design specifications for automated systems.
- Perform FAT/SAT testing and support system qualification in accordance with GAMP 5.
- Ensure data integrity, access management and audit trails (21 CFR Part 11).
- Diagnose and resolve control and instrumentation issues.
- Manage changes, backups and program versions.
- Collaborate with production, validation, IT and industrial cybersecurity.
- Define the automation architecture and site standards.
- Mentor intermediate consultants and review their deliverables.
- Arbitrate vendor and integrator selection.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (automated production, automation, electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, robotics) or any other related discipline.
- Minimum ten (10) years of industry experience.
- Eight (08) to fifteen (15) years of experience as a Automation Engineer.
- Sector standards: GMP (Health Canada), FDA 21 CFR 210-211, ICH Q7 to Q10, GAMP 5, ISO 9001.
- Tools and systems: MS Office suite, Rockwell, Siemens TIA Portal, SCADA, MS Project.
- Hold one of the following certifications: ISA-88, ISA-95.
- The following are considered assets: membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), PMP, GAMP 5, Rockwell or Siemens certification.
- Experience in Canadian public or private organizations.
- Language: French and English
