We are currently hiring on behalf of a manufacturing company located in Lachute for a Mechanical Process Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Production Director, your main duties will include:

Defining, implementing, and ensuring compliance with operational standards for equipment (centerline / setup data);

Designing and standardizing methods to reduce variability during raw material or product changes, thereby minimizing production downtime (RCO / SMED);

Collaborating closely with the quality team to ensure raw material compliance and monitor issues (audits, inspections, follow-ups, etc.);

Leading and supporting continuous improvement projects while documenting operational processes;

Coaching and training operators on best practices, facilitating team meetings, and contributing to the creation of training materials (e.g. videos);

Participating in daily production follow-up meetings and contributing to the development of the 24-hour production plan;

Identifying, prioritizing, and implementing corrective and preventive actions to optimize processes in your area;

Monitoring production unit performance and executing related action plans;

Promoting and strengthening a strong health & safety culture within the teams.

Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or any other relevant field;

3 to 5 years of experience in process management within a manufacturing environment;

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and priorities;

Strong communication skills, diplomacy, and influence abilities;

Dynamic, innovative, and collaborative leadership style;

Solid knowledge of continuous improvement concepts and occupational health & safety standards, with the ability to apply them daily;

Strong analytical mindset, rigor, and organizational skills;

Proficiency in MS Office Suite;

Knowledge of ERP systems or SAP (an asset);

Bilingual in French and English (asset) in order to interact effectively with partners in Quebec, other Canadian provinces, and the United States.
