Hello, my name is Simon Mathé, Recruitment Consultant at FED ManuTech.

I am currently recruiting for a Canadian leader in steel galvanization, recognized for several decades for the quality of its facilities and the strength of its expertise in the treatment and protection of metal structures.

Reporting to the Maintenance Director, you will play a key role in ensuring the proper functioning of production equipment. Your day-to-day work will involve maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement of electromechanical systems within a modern, automated industrial environment.

Main Responsibilities:

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment (motors, drives, conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems).
Diagnose breakdowns and implement appropriate solutions to minimize production downtime.
Participate in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Carry out occasional welding, machining, and mechanical adjustments.
Work closely with the supervisor and day shift team to maintain equipment reliability.
Follow health and safety policies and contribute to a strong safety culture.

Profile Sought:
DEP or equivalent training in electromechanics, industrial mechanics, or electrical engineering.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in industrial maintenance (relevant international experience is recognized).
Strong knowledge of electricity, automation, mechanics, and hydraulics.
Ability to read technical drawings and understand programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Autonomous, detail-oriented, analytical, and a strong team player.
Fluency in French and good understanding of technical English.

Conditions:
Salary: $34/hour to $38/hour, depending on experience.
Schedule: evening shift, 40 hours/week.
