I am currently supporting an innovative manufacturer of zero-emission vehicles, a North American leader in transportation electrification, in the search for an Electrical Engineer to support products in production and actively contribute to the development of new technological solutions.
Your Role
Reporting to the Engineering Director, you will play a key role in providing technical support for vehicles in production and in service, while contributing to the evolution of electrical architectures for medium- and heavy-duty vehicles.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Designing and sizing electrical systems (power, control, automation).
• Ensuring regulatory and standards compliance of onboard electrical installations.
• Supporting production and service teams, as well as customers, in diagnosing and resolving technical issues in order to reduce downtime.
• Analyzing vehicle data and recommending corrective actions to improve reliability.
• Implementing and monitoring corrective action plans and technical modifications.
• Reviewing and approving recalls and service bulletins.
• Designing, reviewing, and certifying electrical schematics and drawings.
• Participating in the management of technical projects.
• Writing diagnostic procedures, high-voltage safety guidelines, and training materials.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of engineering tools, methods, and practices.
Profile Sought
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in the transportation or electric vehicle industry.
• Experience interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of high-voltage architectures and electric vehicles.
• Experience with CAN networks, DTC analysis, and diagnostic tools (Canalyzer, PiSnoop, or equivalent).
• Experience with technical data collection and analysis.
• Knowledge of OpenECU, IQAN Design, or CATIA Electrical (an asset).
• Functional bilingualism in French and English (spoken and written).
