I am looking for a Tax Accountant for an accounting firm in Montreal.
Your responsibilities:
- Review and identify technical issues in tax compliance files for corporations, trusts, and individuals,
- Conduct tax research on various Canadian tax issues and analyze new legislation,
- Make representations to tax authorities,
- Participate in training sessions for the firm's professionals,
- Participate in the management of corporate reorganization and tax planning files,
- Draft reorganization and tax planning memoranda,
- Support directors and partners in their various tax mandates.
Your profile:
- Hold a Master's degree in taxation or have completed the CICA In-Dept Tax course
- A minimum of 2 years of tax experience in a professional firm
- A CPA, CA, or law designation would be an asset
- Good knowledge of professional standards (independence, ethics)
- Good knowledge of tax laws and regulations
- Proficiency in Taxprep software and the IntelliConnect search tool
- Bilingual in French/English (an asset)
- Ability to communicate with clients
