I'm looking for a Payroll Manager for a temporary,part-time position with a manufacturing company in Ville Saint-Laurent.

Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor, your role will include processing, verifying and producing Canadian payroll on a weekly basis for unionized and non-unionized employees. You will perform the various operations related to the issuance of employee payrolls, ensure consistency, confidentiality and compliance of payroll data while respecting deadlines, inform employees of changes in their file and respond to their requests.

Your responsibilities will include :
Process complete payroll for various business units.

Verify timesheets, analyze discrepancies and make adjustments as required.

Update employee files (hiring, departures, leaves, movements, banks, etc.).

Reconcile payroll deductions and produce government remittances.

Apply current legislation and collective agreements.

Keep payroll system parameters and time banks up to date.

Prepare payroll-related accounting entries.

Collaborate with HR and Accounting.

Contribute to month-end and year-end activities.

Answer questions from employees and managers.

Desired profile:
- College diploma (DEC) in accounting or related discipline
- Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) certification
- 5 to 7 years' experience in payroll processing with a very good knowledge of Canadian payroll rules
- Proficiency in the ADP Work Force Now (WFN) payroll system, in particular the Hours & Attendance module
- Knowledge of payroll principles and tax laws
- Knowledge of the Labour Standards Act
- Knowledge of year-end processes (T4, R1, summary, etc.)
- Bilingualism (French and English), both written and spoken, to communicate with employees outside Quebec
- Proficiency in MS Office suite (particularly Excel)
- Demonstrates good judgment, initiative, autonomy and discretion
- Thoroughness and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Highly organized with a strong sense of ownership of responsibilities
- Able to develop good interpersonal relationships and work as part of a team to achieve organizational goals
