Description
Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating, executing, and monitoring operational HR activities in support of HR strategy, managers, and employees, with a focus on compliance, service quality, and operational efficiency.
More specifically the candidate will have to ;-
Manage day-to-day HR administration including employee files, hires, transfers, terminations, and data updates;

Coordinate variable payroll elements, validate related information, and follow up on discrepancies with payroll and benefits services;

Lead the recruitment process for unionized positions, including job postings, candidate screening, initial qualification, interview coordination, reference checks, and preparation of tools;

Organize onboarding and integration for new employees and handle associated administrative follow-up;

Implement, structure, and monitor the international recruitment process in collaboration with external firms and government agencies;

Coordinate training activities including tracking needs, registrations, budgets, legal compliance, and updating competency records;

Implement employee recognition and engagement initiatives such as events, communications, and social club activities;

Promote and integrate best HR practices through ideas, proposals, knowledge, and projects undertaken;

Serve as the first point of contact for managers and employees on routine HR questions;

Update HR policies, procedures, dashboards, and documents;

Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving the employee and candidate experience;

Participate in health and safety initiatives, committees, and help maintain a healthy, engaging, productive, and safe work environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field;

3 to 5 years of experience in HR coordination or generalist roles;

Experience in a manufacturing or unionized environment (an asset);
-
Bilingual (English/French) (an asset);
-
HR certification (e.g., CRHA) or equivalent (an asset).
