Our platform enables field technicians to upload network test results from handheld devices, and provides project administrators with advanced signal analysis, diagnostics and analytics tools.

This role is ideal for a Product Owner who combines strong technical understanding, structured backlog management, and the ability to bridge business intent with engineering execution.

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Agile Execution

  • Act as the Product Owner within an Agile team, owning and maintaining the team backlog.

  • Translate high-level features and epics into well-defined user stories with clear acceptance criteria.

  • Drive iteration planning, backlog refinement, and sprint execution.

  • Ensure stories are ready, prioritized, and aligned with business objectives.

  • Participate actively in agile ceremonies (PI Planning, Backlog Refinement, System Demos).

Technical Leadership & Team Guidance

  • Provide day-to-day guidance to development teams, helping clarify requirements and technical intent.

  • Ensure development work aligns with architecture, system constraints, and integration points.

  • Collaborate with architects and senior engineers on solution design trade-offs.

  • Maintain a strong focus on incremental delivery, quality, and technical coherence.

Requirements Elicitation & Prioritization

  • Work closely with Product Line Managers (PLMs), business stakeholders, and UX designers to:

    • Extract and refine requirements

    • Structure them into actionable backlog items

    • Prioritize based on business value, risk, and technical dependencies

  • Balance short-term delivery goals with longer-term product evolution.

  • Ensure alignment between user experience, business needs, and technical feasibility.

Domain & Product Understanding

  • Develop a solid understanding of:

    • Fiber optic network deployment workflows

    • Field testing processes (e.g., optical power measurement, OTDR)

    • Data ingestion, analysis pipelines, and SaaS architectures

  • Advocate for solutions that improve technician efficiency and data reliability, as well as analytical capabilities for administrators.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner (or similar role) in a software development environment.

  • Hands-on experience working within Agile frameworks.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and support development teams.

  • Experience translating business and UX requirements into structured, prioritized backlogs.

  • Strong ability to write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in telecommunications, networking, or fiber optics.

  • Familiarity with test and measurement systems.

  • Experience working with data-heavy or analytics-driven platforms.

Key Competencies

  • Structured thinking: Ability to decompose complex problems into actionable work.

  • Communication: Clear, concise interaction with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Prioritization: Strong judgment in balancing competing demands.

  • Technical fluency: Comfortable discussing architecture, constraints, and trade-offs.

  • Leadership without authority: Ability to guide teams and influence outcomes.

What Success Looks Like

  • Development teams consistently deliver high-quality increments aligned with PI objectives.

  • Backlog is well-groomed, transparent, and actionable.

  • Strong alignment between business goals, UX direction, and technical execution.

  • Improved predictability and velocity of the team.

  • Stakeholders have confidence in delivery timelines and product direction.
