Description
The Agency Representative acts as the on-site point of contact between workers, Excel Personnel Agency, and the client. The client is a major player in the retail industry, located in Ville Mont-Royal, operating several thousand stores across Canada. The Representative ensures smooth daily operations, compliance with health and safety regulations, employee supervision, and follow-up on performance, attendance, and conduct. The role actively contributes to maintaining a safe, respectful, and high-performing work environment.
This position is a temporary replacement for an undetermined duration.
Onboarding and Orientation

Welcome and support new workers.

Escort workers to their respective teams.

Provide administrative and technical support.
-
Provide feedback to the supervisor regarding the engagement and integration of new workers.

Validate daily absences with the Operations Supervisor and the agency.
-
Follow up with workers who were absent the previous day.
-
Prepare daily absence reports (current day and previous day).
-
Conduct on-site follow-ups with workers to maintain a healthy and safe work environment.
-
Share relevant information with workers (Health & Safety, ergonomics, procedures, best practices).

Observe behaviors and intervene proactively to prevent incidents.

Apply entry and exit protocols to prevent early arrivals or early departures.

Manage crowd movement to ensure safe and efficient circulation.

Verify compliance with health and safety rules (safety boots, no cell phones, headphones, food, etc.).

Ensure compliance with the dress code and safety policies.
-
Conduct walkthroughs outside the building, in locker rooms, and in the cafeteria to ensure health, safety, and cleanliness.

Prevent risky behaviors and redirect workers when necessary.

Analyze employee performance data.

Develop and implement action plans (coaching, support, positive reinforcement, additional resources).

Conduct targeted follow-ups.

Submit weekly performance reports to the Operations Supervisor.

Analyze attendance data (absences, lateness, early departures, repeated exits).
-
Implement appropriate interventions based on individual situations.
-
Prepare weekly attendance reports.
-
Respond to worker inquiries (pay, vacation, procedures, lockers, etc.).
-
Manage inappropriate behavior and apply disciplinary measures as required.
-
Intervene in conflicts or critical situations (altercations, harassment, threats).
-
Provide first aid when necessary.

Conduct locker audits and audits of the safety boot loan register.

Ensure timely and effective follow-up with the client (maximum response time of 2 hours).

Manage emails, data entry, and documentation.

Participate in information sessions or workshops required by the client.

Minimum of 2 years of warehouse work experience (mandatory).
-
Previous experience as a team supervisor (strong asset).
-
Exemplary professionalism.

Excellent communication skills (empathetic, clear, and accurate) in French and English, as several workers under supervision are English-speaking.

Strong autonomy, initiative, and sense of responsibility.

Ability to manage priorities and sensitive situations.

Partnership-oriented approach with workers, the agency, and the client.
