About Eutectic Canada
Eutectic Canada is part of a global organization specializing in welding, brazing and thermal spray technologies. Our products and solutions are used across a wide range of industries for the repair, protection and maintenance of equipment against wear and corrosion.
We are looking for an experienced, motivated and hands-on Welder-Fitter or Millwright to join our in-house service team in Vaudreuil-Dorion.
This is a diverse hands-on position involving welding, fabrication, fitting, assembly and repair, with the opportunity to develop specialized expertise in thermal spray technologies and Eutectic products.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate manual and semi-automatic equipment for welding and thermal overlay applications.
- Perform welding and fabrication work.
- Operate plasma cutting equipment.
- Perform heavy fabrication, fitting, installation and assembly.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Measure, inspect and assess parts to ensure compliance with customer and company requirements.
- Perform brazing operations.
- Assist with equipment repair and maintenance activities.
- Support and assist apprentice and less-experienced welders in developing their skills.
- Perform various shop duties, including equipment maintenance, shipping and receiving, and forklift operation.
- Travel occasionally to off-site customer or work locations as required.
- Follow all company safety, quality and operating procedures.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Welder-Fitter, Millwright or similar role.
- Experience with MIG, TIG, SMAW and FCAW welding.
- Brazing experience.
- Knowledge of PAW (Plasma Arc Welding) and/or thermal spraying is an asset.
- Experience with heavy fabrication, fitting and assembly.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong measuring, inspection and quality-control skills.
- Ability to operate manual and semi-automatic equipment.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness and ability to learn new processes, products and technologies.
- Availability for occasional off-site work.
- Must live within reasonable proximity to the workplace.
