The Sr Advisor Contracts is responsible for drafting, providing detailed review, and amending all commercial agreements for Tidal Energy Marketing, and Aitken Creek’s various standardized and non-standard energy agreements. Providing regulatory support for commodity related activities for commodity areas with market risk and ensuring agreements follow relevant corporate, risk, credit and contract policies.

What You Will Do:
  • Draft, negotiate, review, and ensure execution, management and retention of natural gas contracts, physical power agreements, RNG agreements, crude/NGL and financial derivative agreements, including, but not be limited to: NAESB, GasEDI, EEI, NAEMA, WSPP, transactional services, storage, transportation, park and loan, confidentiality, assignments and novation, agency, capacity releases, exchange agreements, GTCs, master agreements, ISDAs and associated regulatory documents for Tidal Energy Marketing and Aitken Creek.

  • Collaborate with other functional groups including Front Office/Commercial, Legal, Credit, Tax, Insurance and Accounting to ensure terms and conditions of agreements responsible for (as well as ancillary documents connected to those agreements) comply with Enbridge’s Corporate Financial Risk Policy, Enbridge Inc. Policy, Credit and Contracts Policies and internal Contract Administration procedures for all contract reviews.

  • Manage data, authorize ISO registrations and renewals, respond to counterparty requests and maintain web-based applications for Power BU and Tidal power regulatory and compliance requirements.

  • Manage enterprise wide ICE user accounts & entities consistent with access needs.

  • Set up and maintain Tidal & Power BU regulatory filings, reporting, and documentation.

  • Prepare and file all annual Tidal power ISO registrations and certifications. Coordinate with Legal, Risk and Credit to manage Tidal power ISO requests, officer contacts, LEI setup.

  • Participate in the development of revised special provisions to agreements as directed by Contracts and Legal.

Who You Are:Required:
  • University degree

  • 6+ years of directly related experience

  • or equivalent combination of formal education, certification and experience

  • Sound knowledge of contracting practice and administration

  • Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with attention to detail

  • Ability to work well within a team environment

  • High level of proficiency with MS Office applications and applicable web-based services. Openlink knowledge desirable
