As a vital member of our Enterprise Security Team, the Corporate Security Advisor plays a critical role in safeguarding our people, assets, and reputation. Focused primarily on supporting the GDS organization, this position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust security programs and practices that align with our Enterprise Security Standards and IMS - Security Management framework. Beyond compliance, this role is key in ensuring the protection of our company, customers, investors, and the communities we serve-defending against malicious threats and serious breaches of company policy.

What you will do:

  • Plan, conduct, and report on Security Vulnerability Assessment
  • Plan, gather, and collate security data and metrics for Quarterly IMS reports
  • Present Active Assailant and Program training enterprise wide
  • Schedule and conduct Assurance Inspections
  • Conduct and Support Enterprise Security Initiatives
  • Represent Enterprise Security in support GDS Emergency response activities
  • Creates weekly Enterprise Security Reports and Returns
  • Main custodian and PoC for Enterprise Security E-link site.

Who you are:

You have:

  • 4+ years of experience working in corporate security or a related field (Law Enforcement, Military, Investigations, Audit and Compliance) in addition to a bachelor’s degree. Candidates who do not possess a university degree, an additional 3 years of related experience is required.

You can:

  • Balance your strong attention to detail while effectively prioritizing multiple tasks and short deadlines using your strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
  • Offer solid computer skills, including proficiency in productivity tools such as Excel and PowerPoint in addition to a strong interest in working with databases

You are:

  • An excellent written and verbal communicator who is comfortable communicating with senior leadership and proficient in report writing

The following are considered assets:

  • Physical Security Professional (PSP) designation
  • Experience developing statements of work and project scoping
  • Technical Security experience

Working Conditions:

  • Work performed in a typical office environment with intermediate travel required

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 25 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
