The Business Analyst will play a key role in our organization by transforming raw data into strategic insights. They will be responsible for updating our analytical tools to support strategic decision-making and optimize processes across various teams.

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales and Operations, the Business Analyst will have the following main responsibilities:
Strategy and Collaboration

  • Collaborate with various departments (Procurement, Sales, Operations, and Finance) to understand their data needs and provide analytical solutions.
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements for reports and dashboards.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all systems and companies within the Beauchesne Group.
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, inventory, logistics, and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for growth or cost savings (based on departmental requests).
  • Use statistical and predictive techniques to forecast demand, optimize inventory levels, and anticipate market trends.

Project Management and Technology

  • Evaluate and recommend data analysis tools and technologies (BI software, databases, etc.).
  • Provide training and support to end users on the use of analytical tools and dashboards.

Required Education and Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to various audiences.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and analytically.
  • Autonomy, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with large, unstructured datasets.
  • Experience in distribution, supply chain, manufacturing, or a related sector (an asset).
  • Knowledge of Business Central and Power BI (required), Great Plains (an asset).
  • Bilingualism.
