Mainly daytime schedule, Monday to Friday. This role requires flexibility in schedule for various promotional activities that may take place in the evening or on weekends.

Nature of the work
The job of Communications Consultant involves participating in the development and implementation of communications policies, strategies and plans to support the school board's Commitment to Success Plan, with the aim of better informing school clientele, employees, parents and the general public, using a variety of information media.
Description of tasks
The mandate of this role is to promote the various educational pathways and services of the Eastern Townships School Board, more specifically of the vocational and general adult education centers (CBM - LVTC - ETAGE) offered to individuals, businesses and the community by ETSB resources.
Specific roles and tasks:
- Develop and write content for the organization's platforms (websites, applications and intranet).
- Propose digital strategies for various digital and traditional campaigns, and manage the social media content calendar.
- In collaboration with external suppliers, produce communication tools (brochures, leaflets, guides, informative and promotional documents, etc.).
- Advise and work closely with center managers and other departments.
- Advise and support center directors in their promotional and communications needs (advertising, logo, website, social media, events, etc.).
- Monitor technology and keep abreast of Web and digital best practices.
- Collaborate in the organization of special events and occasionally travel to planned locations (exhibitions, job fairs, etc.).
- Actively participate in the deployment of marketing strategies and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Work closely with the Youth Sector communications consultant to deliver a cohesive and complete ETSB communication strategy
Desired profile
Schooling
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of specialization, including communications, journalism, or equivalent.
Knowledge and skills
- Relevant experience
- Excellent mastery of written and spoken English and French
- Demonstrate strong team spirit and ability to maintain positive working relationships
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and within deadlines
- Demonstrate strong analytical, synthesizing and rigorous skills
- Good time management, adaptability, autonomy, and the ability to take well-calculated initiatives

- In-depth knowledge of digital communication methods and techniques, and proficiency in evaluation and referencing tools (Google Analytics and ADS, SEO)
- Knowledge of the Office suite and content management systems (Wordpress, SharePoint)
