Being a Mechanical Foreman - Crushing at Dubé means leading the mechanical team directly on site, including coordinating and supporting work crews, controlling costs, updating reports, and planning and organizing work in collaboration with the Project Manager.

Status : Permanent - Full-time

Schedule : 7/7 - Day shift

Work Location : Agnico Eagle Mine Detour Lake near Cochrane, Ontario - Room and board onsite
 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure the proper mechanical operation of the crushing plant by prioritizing health and safety, promoting team collaboration, and maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager, mechanical planners, foremen, and the management team to optimize and improve crushing plant operations.
  • Supervise, train, and support on-site team members in mechanical, operational, and administrative matters while fostering accountability.
  • Coordinate logistics and execution of planned shutdowns for equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure maintenance schedules are respected and that required follow-ups are completed.
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of mobile equipment and production equipment.
  • Complete required documentation and produce administrative work, communications, reports, and follow-ups within established deadlines.
  • Act as the main point of contact for the on-site team, the client, and government representatives visiting the site.
  • Communicate daily with the team and gather information related to health and safety, best work practices, and other operational matters.
  • Effectively manage priorities across multiple mandates.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Crushing Foreman and strong knowledge of heavy equipment
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong communication skills in both French and English
  • Basic computer skills to complete daily reports
  • Highly versatile, resourceful, autonomous, and a strong team player
