Shop Carpenter Junior – Modular Construction
Position Overview
Corner-Cast is seeking a motivated and dynamic Shop Carpenter to join its manufacturing team. The successful candidate will participate in the fabrication and assembly of modular buildings constructed from shipping containers in a modern, fast-paced, and growing manufacturing environment.
This position is an excellent opportunity for recent carpentry graduates looking to develop their skills within a company specializing in unique projects delivered across Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the assembly and fabrication of modular buildings and container-based structures.
- Perform carpentry, insulation, cladding, interior finishing, and exterior finishing work.
- Install doors, windows, partitions, ceilings, and other architectural components.
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.
- Collaborate with steel, plumbing, electrical, and finishing teams to ensure efficient project execution.
- Maintain company quality standards and health and safety requirements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of production and manufacturing processes.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Carpentry (DEP) or equivalent training and experience.
- Experience in construction, prefabrication, or modular construction is considered an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
- Good knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Positive attitude and strong team spirit.
- Ability to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
- ASP Construction Card required.
- Valid driver's license is considered an asset.
