TITLE: Kiwetin School Receptionist (contract – maternity leave replacement)
DEPARTMENT: Education
SUPERVISOR: Kiwetin School Principal
SALARY: As per TFN salary scale (qualification(s) and/or experience will be considered)
SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Kiwetin School Principal, the incumbent shall carry out all duties related to secretarial and reception duties for Kiwetin School.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Answers all telephone calls with the briefest delay and in the most courteous manner, directs or transfers call to proper department/person and takes and/or delivers messages.
• Meet and greet clients and/or visitors and direct to proper service provider.
• Type letters, documents and/or reports and produce the newsletter for the school.
• Keep records of attendance for both staff and students with system in place.
• Phone parents of all absent students on a daily basis and report it to the Principal.
• Maintain student files and keep them updated regularly.
• Process orders as directed by the principal.
• Prepare and pick up mail.
• Operate computer, fax, photocopier, postage machine, etc.
• Prepare and receive registrations using system in place at Kiwetin.
• Prepare Awards and Certificates that are handed out throughout the school year.
• Assist in organizing and in the preparation of school events such as tournaments, graduations, Christmas concerts, etc.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• Post-secondary studies in office administration.
• Vulnerable sector check.
• First aid/CPR certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience would be an asset.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
• Above average organizational and communication skills (oral and written English).
• Skillful with computers, applicable software and database system.
• Personal qualities: good team worker, must be tactful, reliable and initiative-driven.
• Bilingualism would be an asset.
