THE POSITION

We are looking for a motivated, dynamic and reliable individual to perform a variety of secretarial tasks and represent our school during initial contacts with students and their families.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain files and registers and classify files and documents.
- Process and distribute mail to appropriate recipients.
- Write acknowledgements, letters and simple notes.
- Research and gather information to complete forms, reports, and correspondence.
- Participate in the purchase of school items and supplies, performing transcription and verification tasks.
- Loan and retrieve volumes and manage the sale of school supplies.
- Perform compilation, verification, and registration tasks.
- Use appropriate computer software for word processing and database management.
- Provide occasional assistance to colleagues in the use of specific software and programs.
- Introduce new secretaries to the job.
- Enter texts and various data into the computer from a variety of sources, presenting them in the form of letters, tables, reports, etc.
- Check texts for spelling and grammatical correctness and report any necessary corrections.
- Receive and route telephone calls, providing general information.
- Perform other related tasks as required.

Schooling
Hold a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in secretarial studies, a Secondary School Diploma or a diploma or an attestation of studies recognized as equivalent by the competent authority.
Other requirements
Have a basic knowledge of office automation.
N.B.: Tests will be conducted to assess writing skills in French and English, proficiency in Word and Excel, as well as secretarial skills.
