POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Jazz Drummondville is a recently built 405-apartment residence located in a sought-after area of Drummondville, offering a high-quality, safe, and deeply human living environment for its residents and employees.
We are currently seeking a Resident Care Attendant trained under Law 90, who is empathetic and dedicated to the well-being of our residents. The Resident Attendant ensures the comfort, well-being, safety, and general needs of residents by providing hygiene and comfort care.
Permanent full-time position, on a 7/15 schedule, between 24 and 32 hours per week, day, evening, or night shifts, and one weekend out of two.
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer medication in accordance with safety principles and the codes of ethics
- Assist and/or accompany residents in getting around
- Assist the nursing staff in tasks that require no hands-on care of the resident
- Contribute to the adjustment of a residents' action plan based on their observations
- In collaboration with the different teams, carry out health and hygienic care to the residents while maintaining their dignity and integrity .
- Promote and advocate for proactive care among residents
- Respond to all emergency situations
- Transporting residents to programs, dining room and appointments within the Residence
- While interacting with them, report any noticeable changes in a residents mental or physical health to the on-call nurse.
- 1 year of relevant experience will be considered an important asset
- Law 90 training
- PDSB training
- Up to date CPR / AED training certificates
- PAB diploma completed
